Why an elephant? Why Solid Insight? How are they connected…?

My first toy as a baby was a soft stuffed elephant; I loved and found great comfort in that elephant. My connection to elephants has continued throughout my life; I wanted to honor what they represent to me. Elephants are sensitive, caring, connected, and they are great communicators! They are also highly intelligent animals (they are one of the very few species to recognize themselves in a mirror) with complex emotions, feelings, compassion, and self-awareness. Characteristics such as their weight (making them grounded or solid), their stamina and determination, their protective nature when it comes to their deep family bonds and their connection with departed loved ones, all resonate greatly with me. In many ways’ elephants are much like humans so the combination of what Ele represents and what I want Solid Insight to represent, makes total sense - the traits, qualities and attributes are similar.

They say, “an elephant never forgets.” I say “an elephant always remembers.” In the same way I remember the comfort and security of my soft, stuffed elephant, I hope Ele and I can do the same for you.
